Approximately 300 Lane County high school students got hands-on experience with career options in the construction and utility industries. The "Construction and Utility Career Day" gave them the chance to operate a backhoe and wire lighting fixtures, as well as a participate in other activities and information sessions to help prepare them for jobs in the industry.
